Alice Waters book signing at the National Museum of American History

Acclaimed chef, author and sustainable foods advocate Alice Waters will do a book signing at the National Museum of American History on Saturday, June 13, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The event takes place in the Stars and Stripes Cafe on the museum's lower level.

Waters will be signing three books, which will also be available for purchase:

The Edible Schoolyard

Chez Panisse Cafe Cookbook

The Art of Simple Food: Notes, Lessons and Recipes from a Delicious Revolution

The book signing is held adjacent to the museum's Victory Garden, produced by Smithsonian Horticulture, and in conjunction with the display "Within These Walls...," depicting one family's efforts to "produce for victory" during World War II.
